Aluminum EZ-3
Carl Gulbronson brought in a new EZ3 aluminum framed (except for the chromoly fork) trike, which is about 5 pounds lighter than the all-steel version. It seems like the guys at Sun took a long look at a Kettwiesel trike from Germany, since it is configured differently from the steel EZ3 and much more like a Kettwiesel.
Compared to the steel version, it is a little longer and lower, the seat is farther back, and the rear wheels have negative camber (ie. they lean in at the top). These changes will hopefully make it a little sportier handling, like the Kettwiesel.
It has too much tiller for Mark's taste, but that is less of an issue on a trike anyway. Carl expects it to sell for $1,299, and he has already sold them as fast as he can get them into Hoigaards.
