Dave Krafft's MWB
Dave's was the first prototype for a series of about five similar bikes. They were intended to be able to be put inside a full fairing, so they have the longest wheelbase you can easily get without excessive heel interference on the front wheel in order to make it more stable at speed. Top tubes are kept low to ease entry and exit when a shell is installed. They have about the same configuration as a P-38, but obviously cost a lot less since they have all used some cannibalized parts and frame tubes plus one 1 ¾ 4130 backbone tube added. The adjustable boom tube is a cute discovery Dave made at Garelick's several years ago. A 47mm x 1 mm oddball tube size that fits perfectly outside a 1 ¾ inch tube!
