Dave Gray's "Goiter" Unicycle
The big changes from when we last saw this unicycle are that it has a hydraulic caliper brake tucked in behind the fork (which he just uses very lightly on the steepest downhills to keep it from running away from him), and that he has added some “touring” equipment for longer street rides. This consists of two clamp-on posts sticking out level ahead of and behind the seat tube. The rear post carries a seat bag so he doesn't have to haul too much weight in a back pack, and the front post has two water bottle cages on it.
It weighs about 21 pounds empty and several pounds more with all the touring gear and full water bottles. He says the brain can readily compensate for some fore-and-aft weight distribution problems but you don't want to count on that too much because it can put your sitting pressure on a part of your body you would rather not have carrying a lot of weight!
